CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS
Hello-
Around the Coyote is looking for a few responsible volunteers to help us during Art Chicago (April 25-28th) on the 8th floor of the Merchandise Mart for The Artists' Project booth we are curating. This would be a fantastic and unique opportunity to be part of a prestigious art fair and meet artists/gallerists from all over the world. Volunteers would need to have the following skills:
1. Professional demeanor, ability to talk about artwork from a subjective yet postive point of view.
2. Ability to take direction and learn quickly.
3. Confident speaker, outgoing personality.
4. Punctual.
If you feel this describes you and are interested in participating, please email me at trish@aroundthecoyote.org and we can discuss the details of the project.
Best,
Patricia Courson
Visual art coordinator

So long and thanks for all the fish!

It's been great working with you all. I'll see you tonight at Bill's. Let's have some fun!

Sites for Call for Artist listing.

Okay you creative creatures, here's a beginning.

4Culture + Public Art Calls List
This list compiled by Public Art 4Culture provides basic information about our current Public Art Calls to Artists as well as current public art opportunities from fellow agencies. Please note each Call may have specific eligibility requirements including geographic restrictions. If you do not want to receive calls for artists, or would like to post a call, please contact Willow Fox at
publicart@4culture.org.

This is a great resource for bidding on public art jobs. You must email Willow Fox and request be added to the monthly call list. I love this list and look forward to a new one each month.

The Art List Site: theartlist.com
This site requires that you pay to join (a small fee). It is great for those of you looking to get into shows across the country. Most of the exhibitions requires an entry fee. If you are into this sort of thing check it all.

We kiddies...that is it for now. I will keep you posted on more artist opportunities at a later day. In the mean time, don't let anything get you down. Just keep creating and let the $$$'s come your way..

Welcome to post-ART!

This is the new blog for posting information about upcoming shows for artists that we know. Like all of us! We can also post information about Calls for Entries, exhibition opportunities, residencies and grants, or anything else that you think would be interesting!

A lot of times this information can be quite extensive so what I propose is that we stick to a short description of these opportunities, an application deadline, and a link to find out more information.

If you would like to be added as an author to this blog write your email in the comment field and I can add you to the list of authors.

Also check out the new companion site post-ART:the Website.
